Cerakote is a type of ceramic-based industrial coating known for its durability, versatility, and protective properties. Originally developed for use in the firearms industry, Cerakote has gained popularity in various other applications, including automotive, aerospace, sporting goods, consumer electronics, interior design, 3D printing and more, due to its ability to provide a high end look, tough and corrosion-resistant finish.

Durability
One of Cerakote’s primary advantages is its exceptional durability. It provides unrivalled resistance to wear, corrosion, chemicals, and abrasion especially compared to its competitors. This makes it suitable for protecting a huge variety of projects.

Thickness
Cerakote coatings are thin, typically measuring around 1 to 2 MIL (25 to 50 microns) in thickness. This allows for precise and even application without adding significant bulk or weight to the coated item. This is a gigantic positive for its application over Powder coating

Temperature Resistance
Cerakote coatings are designed to withstand high temperatures, with their C and V series rated to over 1000 degrees celsius. This makes it suitable for use on parts that experience extreme heat and friction, such as exhaust systems and engine components.
